Terms of Service

By creating an account or using ImpulseAlly (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

ImpulseAlly is a peer-to-peer accountability tool. You and a trusted "ally" voluntarily exchange purchase requests and approvals. We are not a financial institution, advisor, or party to your purchases.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person via the Service.
  • Send spam, fraud, illegal content, or malware.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to break the Service.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. User content

You own the content you create (display name, photo, request text). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit it solely so we can run the Service for you and your linked allies.

6. Notifications

By enabling push notifications, you consent to receive messages related to your requests and your allies' requests on the device(s) you've registered. You can disable them at any time in Settings.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that notifications will always be delivered on time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ImpulseAlly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (which, for the free tier, is zero).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
